This Cookie Policy explains how Cosi Care Ltd ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on incosicare.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Because Cosi Care is a health app used by people managing ongoing skin conditions, we keep our use of non-essential cookies minimal. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. About This Policy

This policy explains which cookies incosicare.com places, why each is used, how long it lasts, and the legal basis for doing so. Our use of cookies is subject to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device across a session or between visits, store your preferences, and, where you have consented, measure how the site is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage to save your cookie consent choice.

3. Your Consent

We operate a prior-consent model. Non-essential cookies - including analytics cookies - are not placed on your device until you actively choose to accept them through the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time:

• Click the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to reopen the consent banner.
• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time (see Section 6).
• Email [email protected] to request withdrawal of any stored consent record.

Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. They are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off.

4. Categories of Cookies We Use

• Strictly necessary - Session token, CSRF protection token, and cookie-consent record (stored in local storage). Lifetime: session to 12 months. Legal basis: legitimate interest and contract performance. These cookies cannot be turned off.
• Preferences - UI theme and display language. Lifetime: up to 12 months. Legal basis: consent.
• Analytics - Self-hosted analytics tracking anonymised page-view counts and session durations. Lifetime: up to 13 months. Legal basis: consent. These are only set after you accept analytics cookies.
• Marketing - Not currently used. No marketing or advertising cookies are set on incosicare.com.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by processors acting on our behalf - for example, the provider of our self-hosted analytics platform. We have data-processing agreements with all such providers under Article 28 UK GDPR and enable their cookies only after you have given your consent. We do not allow third parties to place advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on incosicare.com.

6. Managing Cookies

• Use the cookie banner on your first visit, or click "Cookie preferences" in the footer at any time, to accept, reject, or review your consent choices.
• Your browser allows you to block or delete cookies independently of our banner. Instructions for common browsers are available at aboutcookies.org. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working correctly.
• Browser-transmitted opt-out signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), are honoured for analytics and preferences categories. Where the GPC signal is detected and no prior consent record exists, we treat that as a rejection of non-essential cookies.

7. Changes

If we change the cookies we use - for example by introducing a new analytics provider or adding a preference cookie - we will update this policy with a new "Last updated" date and, where the change affects cookies that require consent, present the banner again to request renewed consent.
